Cyber Security Challenge UK
The main competition in the UK is Cyber Security Challenge which offers the winning team win prizes like attending in-depth classes on cyber security, and you may have the chance to work for big cyber security companies. CyberFirst was created by National Cyber Security Centre (part of GCHQ). CyberFirst’s goal is to get girls involved in cyber security and the competition provides puzzles and challenges. Winners get a place in the Girls’ Cyber Team. CyberFirst also offer bursaries in cyber degrees to help young individuals fund their degree.
Competitions for experienced people
For more experienced individuals, competitions like SANS NetWars are geared towards the offensive and defensive side of cyber. NetWars competitions include:

There are many different competitions within SANS all offering something different and challenging. Not only does attending SANS improve your cyber skills, you can also earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) to maintain some cyber related qualifications like CISSP.
